Jetpack Joyride 2[]

Rainbow Jetpack returned in Jetpack Joyride 2 as an unlockable jetpack that can be won during the Barry the Lucky event. The jetpack functions the same way it did in its original appearance. The jetpack also received a small redesign. The belt is now rainbow-colored and back pillow is purple.

The jetpack plays the significant role in the event it can be unlocked from. The event sees Rainbow Jetpack as the latest invention of Professor Brains and Craig, made to increase former's luck due to rainbows being associated with good fortune. This fails, and the jetpack gets stolen by Robo-Barry in his attempt to prove Craig that robots can also be lucky. Craig claims that there's nothing actually lucky about the jetpack.

Trivia[]

  • Because rainbows are actually refracted light, it would be physically impossible to use light as a propulsion device, because light has no mass; this is presumably why the description says it "defies physics with style".
  • This is one of four jetpacks (the others being the Machine Gun JetpackShark Head Jetpack and Fruit Jetpack) to have a gold variant, in this case the Golden Rainbow Jetpack.
