The Profit Bird is one of the vehicles in Jetpack Joyride. It is a mechanical red bird that Barry can ride.

Description[]

The bird gets a small height boost by touching the screen. The player has to repeatedly tap the screen to make the Profit Bird flap its wings and go higher. You cannot hold a finger down as you would when using a jetpack, Lil' Stomper, or Mr. Cuddles. When you stop tapping, it lands on the ground and slides, releasing yellow sparks, as if it were to damage it if on the floor for too long. When the Profit Bird or Flash collects coins, spin tokens or event tokens, it opens its mouth to collect them and makes a "happy noise", which also applies to magnetized coins. While it's flying, the Profit Bird will drop dollar bills from its behind.

When Flash is equipped as a gadget, he rides a smaller blue Profit Bird that lacks a windshield and doesn't open its mouth.

It is scientifically proven that if you make a game with a bird in it, you will make a ton of cash. Let's face it. If you are going to do it, you may as well do it right. Gold all the way, baby. Not what it sounds like. Birds already collect money like it's going out of fashion. Now you can collect even more. More!

Profit Bird is one of Flash's special moves in Battle Racing Stars. When used, the Scientist riding it will spawn and attack leading opponents (as well as opponent behind the player or all of three of them depending on the attack's level).

Jetpack Joyride 2[]

Profit Birds as seen in Jetpack Joyride 2

Three signs of a Profit Bird make a cameo appearance in Jetpack Joyride 2, as the "Circling Birdies" that appear after Barry is KO'd.

Dan The Man[]

In the Jetpack Joyride Event, the Profit Bird appears in the end of the level "Sector 2-S." after Dan (or any character selected) defeats all the enemies and makes it to the end of the level. The character jumps into the bird, and the bird will then have money fly out of its behind.

Trivia[]

  • In the "Robot Bird" rock opera music video, it's revealed that the Profit Bird was designed as an airborne ATM, used to help tall people to withdraw money, and Barry stole it from the scientists.
  • Tapping the pause button a second after jumping will give you a slight jump. However, no sound will play.
  • The name "Profit Bird" is likely a reference to the enormous financial success of bird-based games such as Angry Birds, and Tiny Wings. As such, it is a cross between The Travelling Bird from Tiny Wings and Red from Angry Birds.
    • The "happy noises" are similar to the noises from Tiny Wings.
  • While the control mechanics of the Profit Bird closely resemble those of Flappy Bird, it should be noted that the Profit Bird existed several years prior to the creation of Flappy Bird. Fittingly, Flappy Bird would also go on to become highly profitable, reportedly earning some $50,000 a day from ad revenue, as predicted by the Profit Bird's description.
  • In early versions of the game, a text "Hatching Profit Bird" would appear in the loading screen.
  • The scientists are not attracted to the dropped dollar bills like they are to the ones that come out of the Golden Piggy Pack.
