Jetpack Joyride Wiki

The Crazy Freaking Teleporter (also known as The Teleporter or CFT for short) is one of the vehicles featured in Jetpack Joyride. It is a pill-shaped vehicle with grey metal caps at the top and bottom and purple glass in the middle, through which Barry can be seen. There are rods attached to the top and bottom which emit blue lightning that connects with the floor and ceiling of the lab.

Description[]

When in action, the Crazy Freaking Teleporter will levitate with Barry encased within, and point an arrow with Barry's silhouette at the end which moves up and down. Tapping teleports the player to that position. Like other vehicles, the Crazy Freaking Teleporter gradually speeds up.

If Flash is equipped, he will teleport with his own attached miniature teleporter.

Music[]

As of version 1.76.2, The Teleporter has its own music track along most other vehicles.

The ability to teleport was finally realized by the legitimate scientists. Unfortunately its range made it quite worthless. Sure, gold is heavier and less practical than other metals. But there is no substitute for rolling in a Golden Teleporter. Teleportation technology meets mysterious floating coin magnet technology at last.

Trivia[]

  • In early versions of the game, the text "Calibrating Teleporter" would appear on the loading screen.
  • The name "Crazy Freaking Teleporter" may be a reference to a series of weapons in several first person shooters, but most predominantly in the Doom games, known by the acronym "BFG". This stands for "Big Fucking Gun," according to the design document for the original Doom. In the Quake II manual, it explains that the acronym stands for "Big, Uh, Freakin' Gun," which, combined with the child-friendly nature of Jetpack Joyride, may be what inspired the vehicle's name.
